Mail Room ClerkThe Mail Room Clerk is responsible for providing support to the daily operation of the company mail system.Essential Job FunctionsDistributes, sorts, and collects all incoming and outgoing company mail.Daily travel to Post Office to pick up incoming United States mail.Responsible for incoming and outgoing express mail services.Responsible for weighing and shipping weekly manufacturers coupons.Count coupons.Responsible for attending on-site work during scheduled shifts to adhere to company time and attendance policies.Ensure efficient and courteous customer service to store locations in support of the company mission to "Run the Best Store in Town!"Other duties, as required.Additional Job FunctionsAssists other departments with work overflow as assigned by Mail Room Department Head.Performs routine maintenance on building and grounds.Understand and follow confidentiality policy regarding company information as well as personnel information.Other tasks assigned for completion as assigned by Direct Supervisor or Executive Company Official.Utilize time management skills and prioritization to accomplish tasks through management team and associates.Verification, completion, and distribution of vital department reports, management reports, documents, and paperwork via written, verbal, or e-mail to the appropriate individuals as deemed by supervision and/or policy.Complete documentation of activities as required.Follow all safety and security measures and guidelines.Job QualificationsHigh School Diploma/GED preferred.Must possess a valid and unrestricted state-issued driver's license.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions, perform routine and repetitive tasks and have constant contact/interaction with various levels of individuals daily.Ability to attend on-site work during scheduled shifts to adhere to company time and attendance policies.Food City is a privately held, family-owned company with a driving mission to "run the best store in town."
