Job Details Specialty: CCU - Coronary Care Discipline: RN Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks Hours per week: 36 hours Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (Night Shift) Job Description The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for maintaining the delivery of quality care by ensuring the nursing care plan is followed. This position involves the supervision of Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees within a supportive team environment. The RN will prioritize patient safety and promote a culture of safety throughout the organization. Responsibilities Conduct nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission to develop individualized plans of care. Identify teaching needs for patients and families, facilitating collaboration with the interdisciplinary team. Provide timely updates on patient status for team conferences. Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses in medical records accurately and promptly. Participate in the patient rehabilitation program and deliver direct patient care effectively. Initiate discharge planning and patient education from the day of admission. Ensure effective communication regarding changes in patient status among care providers. Supervise and train ancillary nursing personnel, making appropriate delegations. Maintain a safe environment for both patients and staff in compliance with relevant policies. Actively contribute to team building and a positive work environment. Manage and communicate service needs related to supplies and equipment. Assume charge responsibilities as requested and seek continual professional development. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure BLS Certification required prior to the first shift. ACLS required prior to the first shift (specific to CIRH only). Minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience required. Schedule This position is for a Night shift, working 3x12 hour shifts. Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position.
