Director of Platform Engineering

Leading a cross-functional team, the full-time remote Director of Platform Engineering will oversee the architecture, operations, and scalability of the enterprise Data Lakehouse platform, ensuring it supports analytics and data-driven capabilities. Key responsibilities Lead and grow a cross-functional team of engineers, architects, and data professionals Partner with business units to identify data platform requirements and translate them into platform capabilities Own platform SLAs, uptime, cost management, and quality standards Required qualifications 12+ years in data engineering, architecture, or platform leadership roles 5+ years in a director or senior leadership position managing large technical teams Proven experience delivering enterprise-scale data platforms (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake) Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and modern data stack MBA or advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred
