What You'll Do

• Provide high-quality step down care to oncology patients in a medical oncology PCU
• Monitor complex patients using telemetry and advanced equipment
• Administer medications, including chemotherapy, and manage intravenous therapies
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for patient safety and care planning
• Utilize advanced skills such as dysrhythmia interpretation, central line care, and ventilator management
• Respond to emergencies, including rapid response activation and code situations
• Ensure infection prevention and patient safety protocols are followed

What You Need

• Current Ohio RN license and certifications (BLS, ACLS, NIH)
• At least 2 years of acute care nursing experience, with 1 year in PCU or similar high-acuity setting
• Strong clinical skills including dysrhythmia interpretation, IV management, and patient assessment
• Ability to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity
• Previous travel nurse experience preferred but not required

About the Assignment

You will join a dedicated team caring for patients with complex oncology diagnoses, including solid tumors, orthopedic, and thoracic oncology. The unit is a 36-bed telemetry and progressive care unit, equipped with advanced monitoring and IV therapy devices. The environment emphasizes safety, infection control, and patient-centered care, offering a rewarding experience for experienced oncology and PCU nurses.
