Project Manager (Chromatography Solutions, Medical Device, NPD)

Phenomenex seeks a Project Manager to lead new product development and value engineering initiatives for chromatography consumables. The role oversees cross-functional teams through project lifecycle, managing scope, schedule, budget, quality, and regulatory compliance while applying Danaher's continuous improvement methodology.
Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional teams delivering NPD programs from concept through launch
- Drive stage-gate execution with clear deliverables and decision documentation
- Build and manage integrated project plans including schedule, resources, and risk mitigation
- Establish project governance, stakeholder alignment, and performance reporting
- Apply continuous improvement and structured problem-solving to ensure on-time delivery
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in life science, chemistry, chemical engineering, or related field
- 5+ years in product development, R&D, operations, or life science consumables
- 3+ years project management experience with at least one product launch delivered
- Experience running stage-gate/design control in regulated development environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and MS Project or equivalent scheduling software
- Demonstrated risk management and problem-solving capabilities
- On-site availability in Torrance, California as business needs require
Compensation: $111,500 - $125,000 base; eligible for bonus/incentive pay
