Housekeeping Team Leader

Job Summary:

The Team Leader bridges upper management (Facilities Managers) and the cleaning staff. They lead by example with a hands-on approach, conduct team briefings, and ensure all rooms and public spaces meet safety and hygiene rules.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise Staff : Assign daily cleaning tasks, Scheduling, room sections, and shift schedules to room attendants. Support the team during busy periods.
• Inspect Spaces : Check cleaned rooms, corridors, and public areas to ensure they match company quality and safety standards.
• Train Team: Teach new hires proper cleaning techniques, chemical safety, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Manage Supplies : Track inventory for cleaning products, linens, and guest amenities. Request restock items when supplies run low.
• Handle Issues: Report room damage or maintenance problems (like plumbing or lighting fixes) to the maintenance department and management. Respond to special guest requests

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: 2 to 3 years of hands-on housekeeping or hospitality experience.
• Communication: Clear verbal skills to guide staff and assist guests or other departments.
• Leadership: Strong problem-solving, time management, and organizational abilities.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and perform active tasks for long shifts.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent
