We care for a wide range of diagnoses including Rule Out MI, CHF, Post Heart Catheterization, Renal Failure, and Stroke. * Staffed by registered nurses, patient care technicians, and a unit coordinator, the unit emphasizes evidence‑based practice, patient safety, and regulatory compliance. * Unit consists of 36 beds with a nurse‑to‑patient ratio of approximately 4-5:1. Two patient care technicians are scheduled on both shifts, adjusted based on census. Unit leaders are available daily to support staff and patient care operations. * We are a strategic extension of the emergency department where the goal is for observation patients to be diagnosed and treated in 30 hour or less. * We partner with our physicians to ensure our patients receive excellent clinical care. * Low staff turnover that allows for a wide range of experience levels and learning opportunities. * We are very family centered, mission driven, and focused on team engagement. * We work closely with all departments to ensure a seamless process and collaborative approach. Schedule: Full-time, Three (3) 12-hour shifts Shift: Days, 7:00 am - 7:00 pm (with weekend rotation) Primary Job Responsibilities: * Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients. * Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising these plans as necessary. * Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions. * Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and compliance. * Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork. What You'll Need to Succeed: * Associate of Science degree in Nursing * Current State of Florida or Multistate licensure as a Registered Nurse * Minimum of six (6) months of experience as a Registered Nurse * Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification * Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification Physical Requirements: (Please click the link below to view work requirements) Physical Requirements - Pay Range: $31.53 - $52.24 This facility is an equal opportunity employer and complies with federal, state and local anti-discrimination laws, regulations and ordinances.
