Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A specialty/mail order pharmacy is seeking a detail-focused Staff Pharmacist for a contract assignment lasting 13+ weeks. This full-time role supports the accurate and safe dispensing of medication while fostering effective communication with patients, clinic staff, and pharmacy support personnel. The position follows a Monday to Friday schedule from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, ensuring weekends are off.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately fill prescriptions according to practitioner instructions
• Perform clinical drug screenings to prevent adverse drug interactions
• Counsel patients on medication use and possible side effects
• Supervise pharmacy technicians, interns, and support staff
• Maintain clear, professional communication with patients and clinic teams
• Ensure accuracy in billing documentation and inventory control
• Manage medication fulfillment and timely delivery processes
• Assist in new business facilitation and timely service delivery
• Participate in annual pharmacy budget planning and monitor operational expenses

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

• Current and active California Pharmacist license in good standing, with no negative history
• Preferred experience in specialty, mail order, retail, or ambulatory pharmacy settings
• A minimum of 1 year in retail or ambulatory pharmacy experience preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to effectively interact with patients and clinic staff
• Excellent attention to detail and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment
• Analytical aptitude for safe and efficient medication dispensing
• Dependable, professional demeanor with supervisory experience
