Description

Key Responsibilities

• Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise the stewarding team.
• Monitor performance and provide coaching and feedback to ensure high standards of cleanliness and efficiency.
• Develop cleaning schedules and ensure tasks are completed in compliance with sanitation and safety standards.
• Oversee inventory and proper use of cleaning supplies, chemicals, and dishwashing equipment.
• Maintain organization of all back-of-house storage areas, including china, silver, glassware, and kitchen equipment.
• Operate and maintain dishwashing machines and ensure proper sanitation of all dishes, utensils, and kitchenware.
• Ensure the kitchen and prep areas are clean, organized, and free of hazards.
• Remove trash and recycling, and ensure waste is disposed of properly and promptly.
• Assist culinary and banquet teams with setup and breakdown, as needed.
• Enforce all local, state, and federal health department rules and regulations.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and Hilton brand standards for food safety and cleanliness.
• Conduct regular inspections of the kitchen and dish areas to ensure cleanliness and equipment maintenance

Qualifications & Skills

• Previous experience in stewarding or dishwashing in a high-volume hotel or resort setting.
• At least 1 year of supervisory or team lead experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment, sanitation procedures, and cleaning chemicals.
• Ability to lead a team while also working hands-on in a physically demanding environment.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work standing for extended periods.
• Availability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
