INTERIM CFO
A fast-growing energy company in the New York metro needs an interim CFO who can take hold of finance right away. The company is at about $20M in revenue, and the CEO wants a hands-on finance partner for its next stage.
The role
Growth has made the business more complex than its finance function was built to handle. You’ll take immediate ownership of cash and liquidity, assess what’s in place, and set the priorities that bring structure and visibility to finance.
What you’ll own
- Cash flow management and short-term liquidity planning from day 1
- A short-term cash forecast that flags funding needs early
- Working capital needs, measured against the company’s pace of growth
- A review of the balance sheet and income statement for accuracy and accounting treatment, with remediation of gaps
- A faster, more reliable monthly close, delivered with the company’s third-party accounting firm
- Financial insight for the CEO on profitability and the decisions growth demands
What you bring
- CFO or senior finance executive experience in fast-growing, entrepreneurial companies
- Strong command of cash flow and working capital management, including short-term liquidity
- History of improving financial reporting and accelerating the monthly close
- Experience directing outsourced or third-party accounting providers
- Deep balance sheet and P&L expertise
- A hands-on style and comfort working with incomplete information on tight timelines
