Assistant Manager

We are seeking a talented Tax Credit Assistant Manager to support our community management teams and ensure compliance with affordable housing regulations. Position Overview: The Tax Credit Assistant Manager assists the Community Manager by overseeing the financial and operational aspects of tax credit properties. This role requires understanding of Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) regulations, attention to detail, and strong customer service skills to maximize resident satisfaction and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities: Assist in leasing, audit, and file management for tax credit properties Process new resident certifications, annual recertifications, and interim certifications Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local affordable housing regulations (including LIHTC reporting) Collect rent payments, oversee application and deposit processes, and resolve resident inquiries Maintain accurate records and update resident files within property management software Support outreach efforts and develop resident retention programs Communicate with legal counsel and government agencies regarding compliance and resident concerns Contribute to ongoing professional appearance and a positive work culture Required Qualifications: At least 6 months of experience in property management or affordable housing Strong written and verbal communication skills Exceptional organizational and attention to detail abilities Professional demeanor and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment Basic proficiency with property management systems and Microsoft Office Preferred Qualifications: Experience with LIHTC, Section 8 or other affordable housing programs Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) or Certified Occupancy Specialist (COS) credential Familiarity with state and federal housing compliance requirements Compensation: Full-Time $ 20.00 to $ 21.00 per hour Vacation & Sick Time for Full & Part-Time Employees Health and Wellness Programs 401K and Roth IRA with Employer Match Paid Holidays Employee Referral Incentives and Bonus Opportunities Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, and other insurance options Professional Development Training *Benefits are subject to change and may vary based on location or employee status* AMC, LLC is an equal opportunity employer.
