Productivity Solutions Leader - Transformation & Business Operations (Chief of Staff)

Agilent seeks a transformation leader to partner with the Productivity Solutions Division General Manager, driving strategic change across platform modernization, AI adoption, and operating model evolution. This Chief of Staff role translates enterprise strategy into measurable execution, working across executive teams to accelerate decision-making and establish capabilities for competing in the AI era.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end transformation of the Productivity Solutions Division, including platform modernization, integrated planning, dependencies, risks, and value delivery
- Establish reporting standards and maintain a single live transformation dashboard fed by engineering and delivery data as the authoritative status source
- Identify and eliminate friction points—approvals, meetings, reports—that slow teams while preserving quality and compliance gates
- Drive AI adoption across division operations, from software development to planning, piloting tools early and scaling what delivers measurable impact
- Run lean operating rhythm with weekly staff meetings and quarterly reviews where decisions occur rapidly and every forum concludes with clear owners and dates
Requirements
- 10+ years in software or technology industry with hands-on software engineering, technical program management, or engineering operations experience
- Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, computer science, or science field, or equivalent experience
- Daily use of generative AI and agents; demonstrated experience helping teams or organizations change their AI workflows with measurable results
- Proven ability to hold senior leaders accountable to commitments without direct reporting authority while maintaining trust
- Proficiency building and interpreting delivery metrics such as DORA, flow, and predictability
- Experience delivering across global, matrixed organizations and multiple time zones
- Strong structured thinking, writing, and business judgment to synthesize complex situations into clear decision memos
