Position Summary The Operations Support Specialist plays a key role in supporting the General Manager and leadership team with high-impact projects, operational improvements, and system optimization. This position is responsible for driving ERP effectiveness, improving scheduling processes, and supporting facility and capital projects. This is a hands‑on, high‑visibility role suited for someone who understands manufacturing systems, thrives in a fast‑paced environment, and can bring structure, organization, and execution to critical business initiatives. Key Responsibilities Act as a key support resource to the General Manager on strategic and operational projects Lead and support facility and capital expenditure projects from planning through execution Evaluate and improve ERP system usage to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and consistency Establish and optimize ERP scheduling processes to support production and delivery performance Work closely with operations, production, and purchasing to align ERP data with actual workflows Identify gaps in system usage and implement improved processes, structure, and accountability Support implementation, configuration, and continuous improvement of ERP functionality Ensure data integrity, reporting accuracy, and system discipline across departments Assist with planning, tracking, and execution of major operational initiatives Coordinate cross‑functional efforts and ensure project timelines and deliverables are met Document processes, workflows, and system improvements for ongoing use and training Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, cost control, and operational performance Communicate effectively with leadership, supervisors, and team members across the organization Qualifications and Experience Required: Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field Experience working with ERP systems in a manufacturing environment Experience with Microsoft Office Proven ability to manage projects and drive process improvements Experience generating GANTT charts Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities Strong communication and coordination skills Preferred: Experience with Global Shop ERP system Background in machining, fabrication, or manufacturing operations Experience supporting capital projects or facility upgrades Familiarity with inventory, production planning, and shop floor integration Strong ownership and accountability Process‑driven mindset with focus on structure and organization Analytical and solution‑oriented thinking Ability to execute and follow through on complex initiatives Effective communication and cross‑functional collaboration Commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence Physical and Work Environment Requirements Ability to work in both office and manufacturing environments Ability to walk production areas and engage with shop operations Exposure to typical manufacturing conditions including noise and varying temperatures Health, Safety and Quality The Operations Support Specialist is required to follow all company health, safety, environmental, and quality policies to support safe operations and maintain compliance standards.
