Waxing the City is looking for an energetic, positive, and results-driven Area Manager to lead and support our Alpharetta and Cumming studios.

We aren’t looking for someone who simply keeps the studios running. We’re looking for someone who will become the heartbeat of our studios—part coach, part cheerleader, part marketing expert, and always an incredible ambassador for the Waxing the City brand.

The right person has a sparkling personality, naturally connects with people, and genuinely enjoys creating an environment where both clients and employees feel welcomed, valued, and excited to be there.

This position supports both our Alpharetta and Cumming locations. Candidates must have reliable transportation and be able and willing to travel regularly between both studios.

What You’ll Do

Lead, Coach & Motivate

Create a positive, high-energy culture across both studios.

Serve as a coach and cheerleader for the team—not just a boss.

Build consistency and teamwork between our Alpharetta and Cumming locations.

Set clear expectations while providing encouragement, accountability, and support.

Recognize wins, celebrate progress, and help team members reach their individual and studio goals.

Lead team meetings, training, and ongoing development.

Help recruit, onboard, and retain great team members.

Create an Amazing Client Experience

Be a friendly, professional, and recognizable face of our studios.

Build genuine relationships with clients and help create an experience that keeps them coming back.

Confidently handle client questions, concerns, and service recovery.

Coach the team to identify opportunities to recommend services, memberships, enhancements, and retail products based on each client’s needs.

Make sure every client feels welcomed, comfortable, and appreciated.

Be Our Local Marketing Expert

We want an Area Manager who doesn’t wait for marketing to happen—they make it happen.

Develop relationships with local businesses, organizations, schools, gyms, salons, apartment communities, and other potential partners in both the Alpharetta and Cumming markets.

Identify creative opportunities to introduce Waxing the City to new clients.

Coordinate local events, partnerships, promotions, and grassroots marketing.

Help create fun, engaging social media content.

Look for new ways to increase brand awareness and drive traffic to both studios.

Turn community connections into measurable studio growth.

Drive Studio Performance

Take ownership of goals and results across both locations.

Track key performance indicators including bookings, rebooking, memberships, retail sales, client retention, and overall revenue.

Coach the team around opportunities for improvement.

Manage scheduling and staffing based on the needs of each studio.

Oversee inventory and day-to-day operational needs.

Maintain beautiful, clean, organized, and professional studio environments.

Regularly work from and maintain a strong presence at both the Alpharetta and Cumming studios.

Who We’re Looking For

Creative and excited about marketing and community outreach

Comfortable with social media and creating engaging content

Organized, dependable, and able to manage priorities across two locations

Comfortable reviewing numbers and using them to improve performance

Willing to jump in and help wherever needed

Someone who takes ownership rather than waiting to be told what to do

Able and willing to travel regularly between our Alpharetta and Cumming locations

Experience in salon, spa, beauty, wellness, hospitality, retail, fitness, or another service-based business is a plus. Management and marketing experience are strongly preferred.
