Health & Safety Specialist

Health & Safety Specialist (Korean Bilingual Required)\n\nTimpl has partnered with a global leader in lithium-ion battery manufacturing\nand is seeking for a Health & Safety Specialist.\n\n\nResponsibilities:\n * Assist with the maintenance of the Learning Management System (LMS) annual\n safety trainings \n * Oversee one or more plant-wide safety and health programs and act as a\n champion of the sites workplace safety system\n * Support safety trainings to employees \n * Ensure effective hazard identification and mitigation for plant operations\n and administrative offices\n * Conduct daily line walks to ensure S&H practices are being observed and to\n note any at-risk behaviors, unsafe conditions, faulty equipment or\n non-compliance with any H&S related policies/regulations\n * Ensure timely communication of safety issues/concerns to department\n leadership\n * Support cross-functional teams to drive improvements across the organization\n * Support incident investigations and track corrective actions\n * Conduct new equipment reviews, mechanical risk assessments and ergonomic risk\n assessments\n * Support emergency response drills and critiques\n * Support new hire orientation, contractor safety and other H&S related\n training topics\n * Support workplace compliance evaluations in regard to local, state and\n federal regulations \n * Support jobsite auditing, training, and conducts incident investigation \n * Conduct inspections and ensures compliance with applicable H&S regulations\n and standards\n * Maintain cleanliness at work-site in accordance with 5S3R Standards:\n * Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain\n * Right Location, Right Quantity, Right Container\n * Perform other duties as assigned\n\n\nQualifications:\n * Bachelor's degree required in Occupational Safety or relevant experience\n * Construction Safety experience preferred but not required\n * Bilingual: English/Spanish or English/Korean preferred but not required\n\n\nExperience:\n * 1 to 3 years of experience evaluating and improving Safety and Health\n programs in a manufacturing environment\n * Electrical background is preferred but not required \n * Strong knowledge of and experience working with OSHA and state/local\n regulations and requirements\n * 3 + years with Process Safety Management (PSM) in designing and\n implementation experience \n * Must be comfortable working in a team setting\n\n\nSkills:\n * MS Office skills preferred\n * Skilled in analyzing and evaluating technical data, test results, and reports\n * Positive attitude, self-driven, strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated\n effectiveness in accomplishing goals\n * Strong organizational and communication skills\n * Ability to work flexible hours as needed to support entire production team
