Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Dental Biller to join our busy Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery practice. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in all aspects of dental insurance billing, coding, claim submission, payment follow-up, appeals, and accounts receivable management.

Responsibilities:

• Submit accurate dental insurance claims in a timely manner.
• Review claims prior to submission for coding, documentation, benefits, and payer requirements.
• Follow up on outstanding insurance claims and accounts receivable.
• Research, appeal, and resolve denied, rejected, or underpaid claims.
• Verify insurance benefits and eligibility as needed.
• Ensure accurate CDT coding and documentation for OMS procedures.
• Coordinate benefits between dental and medical insurance when appropriate.
• Assist with medical claim coordination for oral surgery procedures when applicable.
• Monitor aging reports and work accounts to resolution.
• Communicate professionally with insurance carriers, patients, clinical staff, and front office team members.
• Maintain compliance with payer guidelines, insurance requirements, and practice policies.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of dental billing experience required.
• Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery billing experience strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of CDT coding, dental insurance processes, claim submission, and appeals.
• Experience with insurance follow-up, denial management, and AR resolution.
• Familiarity with medical billing for oral surgery procedures is a plus
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently while managing a high-volume workload.
• Experience with dental practice management software is preferred.
