Phlebotomist - Float

Position Overview Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist Float to join our team at 400 Patroon Creek, Albany, NY. Work schedules are Monday – Friday (7:30am–5:30pm) with rotating Saturdays (7:00am–12:00pm). The position may require travel to additional sites. Job Responsibilities Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups. Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc. Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely. Process billing information and collect payments when required. Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis. Maintain patient and specimen information logs. Provide superior customer service to all patients. Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. Phlebotomy certification or completed training program, or at least 3 months of experience as a phlebotomist. Preferred Qualifications 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience. Additional Job Standards Certification or training program must be from an accredited agency. Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently or as part of a team. Comfortable working under minimal supervision. Flexibility to work overtime as needed. Must pass a standardized color blindness test. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record with reliable transportation. Must be at least 21 years old. Compensation and Incentives Pay Range: $17.75 – $20.00 per hour. PST Incentive Plan may provide a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics. Float Incentive: Additional $1.00 per hour plus mileage reimbursement. Benefits Employees scheduled for 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), PTO or FTO, Tuition Reimbursement, and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Employees scheduled for less than 20 hours, casual, intern, and temporary employees participate only in the 401(k) plan. Employees on a 7 on/7 off schedule receive all benefits except PTO or FTO.
