Lifts, carries, and transports injured, sick or incapacitated persons from residential or accident scenes to medical facilities. Provides Paramedic level emergency medical treatment to injured, sick, or incapacitated persons. Communicates with professional medical personnel at treatment facility to obtain instructions regarding treatment and to arrange for reception at medical treatment facilities. Obtains information from and examines patients to determine nature, extent, or magnitude of illness or injury. Administers prescribed first-aid treatment at site of emergency or in the ambulance according to established medical protocols. Inspects equipped emergency vehicles; cleans equipment to ensure its safe operation; and replenishes medical supplies, fuel, and fluids. Requirements Applicants must be Paramedic certified and able to obtain an Oklahoma EMS license. Basic EMTs nearing the end of Paramedic school or waiting to test will be considered. Applicants must have a clean driving record and no criminal history and must be able to obtain an Oklahoma Driver’s License. Our candidate testing includes a skills exam, physical fitness test and written exam. Preferred candidates will have current CPR, ACLS and PALS certifications.
