Vessel HousekeeperThe Vessel Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation, and overall appearance of Flagship Cruises & Events vessels to ensure a safe, welcoming, and exceptional experience for guests and crew. This position performs routine cleaning and housekeeping duties in a fast-paced maritime environment while adhering to company standards for quality, safety, and customer service. The ideal candidate is a dependable, self-motivated team player with strong communication skills who can work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays. Success in this role is demonstrated through consistent performance, reliability, positive feedback from management and peers, and a willingness to learn new skills and support the operational needs of the fleet.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Assist with the daily operations and overall functions of the Housekeeping Department to ensure vessels are maintained in a clean, safe, and guest-ready condition.Perform routine cleaning and sanitization of assigned vessel areas, including passenger spaces, crew areas, and restrooms.Vacuum carpets and dining areas; sweep and mop hard surface floors.Dust and polish furniture, light fixtures, lamps, window ledges, and other surfaces using appropriate cleaning products and techniques.Clean and polish metal fixtures, fittings, railings, and other vessel surfaces to maintain appearance and prevent corrosion.Clean glass surfaces, windows, mirrors, and other reflective surfaces to ensure a streak-free finish.Empty trash receptacles, replace liners, and properly dispose of waste in accordance with company procedures.Clean, sanitize, and restock restrooms, ensuring all fixtures and supplies are maintained throughout the shift.Maintain housekeeping equipment, cleaning supplies, and storage areas in a clean, organized, and safe manner.Identify and report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, or damaged equipment to the appropriate supervisor.Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and sanitation standards, including the proper handling and use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.Perform other housekeeping and operational duties as assigned to support the needs of the fleet.Requirements & Qualifications:High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.Minimum one (1) year of housekeeping, janitorial, custodial, or related cleaning experience preferred.Working knowledge of cleaning, disinfecting, and sanitizing methods, materials, and equipment preferred.Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and accept direction from supervisors.Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Dependable with a strong work ethic and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.Ability to communicate professionally and work effectively with coworkers, supervisors, and guests.Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekdays, weekends, evenings, and all major holidays.Must successfully pass a pre-employment physical examination and drug screening.May be required to apply for a Transportation Workers Identification Card (TWIC).Physical Demands:Must be able to lift/pull/push 50lbsAbility to bend, rotate and reach frequentlyAscending/descending stairs or ladders safelyAbility to maneuver through/in/around small and/or confined areas within the vesselMust be able to maintain both static and dynamic standing balance to complete various duties associated with jobFlagship Cruises & Events is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action employer.
