Clinical Lab Technologist 3, Hematology & Urinalysis (Hourly/Per Diem)

Job Description The Department of Clinical Laboratories at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking an hourly/per diem Clinical Lab Technologist / TH Clinical Laboratory Technologist 3, Hematology/Urinalysis. The successful candidate will: Perform clinical laboratory procedures and examinations, and any other tests or procedures conducted by the Chemistry and Hematology Laboratories. Have working knowledge of routine instrumentation and methodology used in Clinical Hematology and Chemistry: Specific familiarization with Blood Gases, Olympus, and Architect instruments preferred Have good knowledge of quality control, maintenance, and troubleshooting on Chemistry and Hematology methodologies and instruments. Demonstrate flexibility and collaboration to perform other job-related duties and responsibilities as needed and/or required. Required Qualifications Bachelor of Science Degree or equivalent in Medical Technology, Physical, or Biological Science. New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist Licensure.
