Job Title: Registered Nurse - ICU Profession: RN Specialty: Client Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year with level 1 trauma and neuro experience License: Current RN License Certifications: - Current Basic Life Support - Advanced Cardiac Life Support - NIH Stroke Scale certification is a plus Must-Have: - Level 1 trauma experience - Neuro experience Description: Under general supervision, provides nursing care in a hospital to a variety of patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex. Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of patients. Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments. Notes all changes in physician orders for assigned patients. Assists the physician in the examination of patients and in performing minor diagnostic procedures and treatments. Obtains and monitors physiological data of patients. Observes the physiological manifestations of patients and intervenes when necessary. Administers medication as prescribed. Initiates, regulates, and monitors intravenous infusions and blood products. Delivers patient care competently. Interacts with family and patients in sharing the care plan while in the hospital and at discharge. Informs patients and families of hospital procedures. Makes referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel. Delegates tasks to support staff. Performs other duties as assigned.
