Assistant Warehouse Manager (Steel Distribution Center)
Location: Lakeland Branch (3825 Maine Ave. Lakeland FL)
Job Description:
Oversee the safe and efficient receipt, storage, retrieval and timely dispatch of warehouse material. They ensure workplace safety requirements are met and take responsibility for the security and handling of the warehouse inventory. Reports to Warehouse Manager and Store Manager
Responsibilities:
· Plan the arrangement of material within the warehouse and organize special requirements for certain stock.
· Overseeing stock control, keeping it up to date as well as planning future capacity requirements
· Oversee gathering, packing and distribution activity
· Ensure that quality objectives and delivery deadlines are met
· Overseeing the planned maintenance of vehicles, machinery and equipment
· Assist with managing a team of workers and deal with personnel issues such as training and discipline of staff.
Requirements:
· Basic knowledge of measurement and the use of a measuring tape
· Experience operating a Forklift
· Ability to work under pressure
· Previous experience is a MUST!!!
