Part-Time Laboratory Technician-Biology

Location Location: North Adams, MA Category: Administrative Job Type: Part-time Temporary General Statement of Duties The Department of Biology seeks applications for a part-time Laboratory Technician to support the Preparation, Cleanup, and Organization of teaching labs. Detailed Statement of Duties and Responsibilities Prepares various culture media and chemical solution stocks following standard written laboratory formulae and procedures Set up laboratory equipment as prescribed in lab prep notes Clean up and organize equipment and supplies after laboratory exercises are complete Clean glassware and sterilize biological waste Reset lab exercises between sections, as needed Job Requirements Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree or higher Preferred Qualifications Experience in a laboratory making stock solutions Previous college-level experience preparing labs strongly preferred Additional Information This is a part-time, temporary position working 7.5 hours per week through December 19, 2026. The schedule for this position can be 1 day per week working 7.5 hours per day, or 2 days per week working 3.75 hours per day. Salary for this position is $32.08/hour.
