Direct Support SpecialistChartiers Center is a private, non-profit corporation funded by state, county, third party insurances and private funds. Services include intake, referral, outpatient therapy, psychiatric assessment, service coordination, substance abuse treatment, training and social rehabilitative services, crisis intervention, partial hospitalization, community outreach, day, and recreational services for adults with intellectual disabilities, homeless outreach, and housing program.As a Direct Support Specialist with Chartiers Center, you would be committed to providing coaching and assistance to people with intellectual disabilities.Job duties include:Conduct instructive and support activities for individuals designed to meet the individual's plans that have been outlined in an interdisciplinary meeting and the Support plan.Administer Assessments and Evaluation instruments to assist in identifying abilities.Develop and implement individualized plans, following supervisory approval, based on person centered plan of needs/wants/likes/dislikes of individuals.Prepare monthly progress reports on a timely basis using pre-designated schedule; documents thorough and concise data on how to relate to self and others.Documents in electronic health record according to regulated compliance timelines.At Chartiers Center we offer the following benefits:Competitive hourly rateMedical, dental and visionShort- and long-term disabilityLife insuranceRetirement plan - Employer contribution 6% after 1 year8 paid holidaysGenerous PTO (paid time off)Tuition reimbursementFull time- Daylight hours- Monday- FridayPositive and fulfilling work environment!Minimal qualifications:Bachelor's degree in human services and 3 years IDD work experience, (2 years post bachelor's) and 1 year general work experience.ORAssociate's degree in human service field and four years of related IDD work experience.Valid PA driver's license required.Diversity and inclusion - Each of our clients/individuals is uniquely different and so are we.
