Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/28/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Summary Medical Surgical Floor Nurse in the MS (Medical Surgical) specialtylocated in the acute care setting. This position involves providing patient care for post-op surgical, trauma, overflow medical, dressing changes, wound care, IV therapy, pain management, drains, NGs, and central lines. The role requires team collaboration, critical thinking, and bedside manner skills. Job Details Certifications, Education, Experience, and Location Requirements: Active Illinois license or confirmation that the application process has been initiated, BLS (AHA) certification, minimum one year of relevant experience, and recent experience with post-op care, critical thinking, and teamwork. Schedule: 12-hour shifts, days from 07:00 AM to 07:30 PM, minimum 36 hours per week. Responsibilities: Managing post-op care, critical patient assessment, assisting with dressing changes and wound care, IV therapy, pain management, drain care, NG tube management, and central line care. Additional Information: Will float to units with similar experience levels; responsible for monitoring patients telemetry via central station; participate in unit orientation including EPIC system training. Submission Requirements: Last four digits of SSN, active Illinois license status or proof of application, and confirmation of understanding the drug-free policy and negative drug screen requirement.
