Introduction Our client is a hospital seeking an experienced full-time Lead Veterinarian to guide their comprehensive veterinary team. Working Hours / Rota This is a full or part time position, specific hours are to be discussed with the practice. Role Description and Responsibilities The Lead Veterinarian will perform physical examinations, diagnostic, medical, surgical, and dental procedures while ensuring high standards of patient care and client experience. Responsibilities include developing complete problem lists and treatment plans, communicating diagnoses clearly to clients, performing basic surgery, and educating pet parents on preventative healthcare and nutrition. The role involves maintaining accurate medical records, participating in continuing education, and ensuring compliance with operating and safety procedures. As a clinical leader, the Lead Veterinarian will empower and develop the paraprofessional team, support technicians and assistants with escalations, foster collaboration, and represent the hospital professionally within the community. Practice Details The practice provides a full range of services including preventive care, diagnostics, urgent and same-day care, dentistry, and general surgery.
