Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Forklift certification or the ability to become certified is a plus.
• Basic understanding of warehouse operations, inventory handling, and workplace safety practices.

Experience Requirements

• Previous forklift operator experience required, including stand-up forklifts, sit-down forklifts, and electric pallet jacks (EPJs).
• Experience loading and unloading trailers in a distribution center, warehouse, or manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to safely operate powered industrial equipment while meeting productivity goals.

• Ability to follow work instructions, warehouse procedures, and safety standards.
• Reliable attendance, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
• Experience with shipping, receiving, material handling, and warehouse inventory movement.

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds as needed.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift.
• Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled warehouse with varying temperatures.
• Must wear steel-toe footwear and required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Comfortable operating material handling equipment for extended periods.

Job Duties

• Safely operate stand-up forklifts, sit-down forklifts, and electric pallet jacks (EPJs) to move materials throughout the warehouse.
• Load and unload trailers efficiently while maintaining product quality and safety standards.
• Transport, stack, stage, and store inventory in designated warehouse locations.
• Accurately move products to shipping, receiving, and storage areas to support daily operations.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through proper handling, scanning, and product placement.
• Follow all warehouse safety procedures, operating guidelines, and company policies.
• Assist with shipping, receiving, order fulfillment, and other warehouse responsibilities as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while meeting productivity expectations.

What You Will Do


As a Forklift Operator you will safely operate forklifts to load, unload, transport, stack, and organize materials throughout warehouse and manufacturing operations. You will inspect equipment before use, replenish inventory locations, support shipping and receiving activities, verify product movement, maintain inventory accuracy, and help ensure safe, efficient material handling throughout the facility.


The Forklift Operator plays an important role in warehouse and manufacturing operations by operating forklifts to support inventory movement and material handling. This position requires strong spatial awareness, attention to detail, and safe operating practices.


Successful Forklift Operator candidates understand warehouse workflows, equipment inspections, inventory procedures, and safe material handling while supporting productive daily operations. Consistent performance contributes directly to warehouse efficiency.
