What You'll Do
- Counsel patients and their families on medical nutrition therapy, developing personalized diet plans
- Assess nutritional needs through screening and evaluations, creating tailored nutrition care plans
- Monitor calorie and protein intake, recommending adjustments or additional support such as tube feeding orders
- Document all assessments, interventions, education, and follow-up in the medical record using standardized terminology
- Evaluate nutritional supplement indications, composition, and appropriate use
- Work collaboratively with medical teams to optimize patient outcomes on a daily basis
What You Need
Required:
- Valid Registered Dietitian (RD) license in Michigan or eligible for licensure
- Minimum 2 years of clinical nutrition experience
- Strong knowledge of medical nutrition therapy and documentation standards
Preferred:
- Experience in hospital settings and with tube feeding management
- Excellent communication and counseling skills
