Senior Field Service Technician

Job Title Installation and Service Technician Location Greenville, NC Job Summary We are looking for a talented individual to join our team as an Installation and Service Technician. As a key part of the team, the technician works in retail stores to install and repair Inventory Control, RFID, and Video equipment. Responsibilities Install, service, troubleshoot, repair, and perform maintenance on retail products and equipment at customer sites. Keep track of work orders via computer, including products serviced, work performed, hours and parts utilized. Maintain and manage an accurate parts inventory to insure a first‑time fix. Demonstrate and train customers how to use their equipment properly. Report customer satisfaction, potential sales opportunities, and recurring problems to the manager. Take care of other tasks as required. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. 2 years associate degree in Electronics and/or Networking or equivalent military training. Valid driver’s license. 3 years prior work experience in a related field. Basic EAS and Video training and certifications. General knowledge of electronics. Mechanical aptitude; ability to use hand and power tools. Physical ability to carry and move equipment up to 70 lbs and work in difficult positions (ladders, scaffolding, high‑lift equipment up to 40 ft, ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc.). Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills. Independent and team worker. Proficiency with MS Office and basic PC skills. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and scope documents. Ability to travel and work overtime as needed. State license as required for pertinent states (state dependent). Preferred Qualifications Certification in all Video & RFID solutions currently sold and serviced by Retail. Full competency in required networking and advanced performance. Ability to mentor and train others. Compensation and Benefits Hourly rate: $28.84 – $38.46 (based on education, experience, skills). Competitive pay. Paid vacation, holidays, and sick time.
