Key Responsibilities

• Assumes responsibility and accountability for a designated group of patients throughout the shift, applying the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care
• Prescribes and delivers nursing care consistent with the medical plan of care, incorporating input from patients and significant others
• Collaborates with physicians and interdisciplinary health care team members to coordinate patient care delivery across applicable age groups
• Incorporates patient teaching and discharge planning into the overall plan of care
• Delegates appropriate aspects of patient care to other nursing staff based on clinical competence and legal scope of practice

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required at time of hire
• Demonstrated competency in Dysrhythmia recognition required during orientation
• EPIC experience within the last 12 months is required; recent Cerner experience is also required
• Each work history entry must include the charting system used; no time-off requests will be considered and the start date is firm

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
• Previous acute care facility experience
