SemBro Designs is a growing design-build remodeling company specializing in kitchens, bathrooms, and whole-home renovations throughout Central Ohio. We are looking for an experienced Sales & Design Consultant who can guide homeowners from their initial consultation through design development and project approval.

This is not a traditional sales role. Our clients are making significant investments in their homes, and we believe the best sales experience is built around trust, thoughtful design, strong communication, and helping clients make confident decisions. The ideal candidate combines a strong understanding of residential remodeling and design with the ability to build relationships, uncover client needs, present solutions, and close high-value remodeling projects.

What You'll Do

As a Sales & Design Consultant, you will manage the front end of the client experience - from the first in-home consultation through project approval and transition into selections and production.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Meet with prospective clients in their homes to understand their goals, lifestyle, design preferences, project scope, and investment expectations

• Evaluate existing spaces and identify opportunities for functional and aesthetic improvements

• Take accurate project measurements, photographs, and site information

• Complete detailed client design profiles for the internal design team

• Collaborate closely with SemBro's designers to develop thoughtful remodeling concepts and solutions

• Review proposed designs, project scope, and preliminary pricing prior to client presentations

• Lead in-office design and sales presentations alongside the design team

• Guide clients through design concepts, layouts, materials, project scope, and investment

• Build value and confidently communicate the benefits of SemBro's design-build process

• Address client questions, concerns, and objections throughout the sales process

• Follow up consistently with prospective clients and maintain an organized sales pipeline

• Manage multiple client relationships and longer sales cycles simultaneously

• Maintain accurate client information, notes, sales activity, and follow-up within the company's CRM

• Collaborate with designers, project managers, and other team members to ensure a smooth transition from sales into production

• Develop long-term relationships that generate repeat business and referrals

• Represent SemBro Designs professionally in the showroom, clients' homes, networking events, and community

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who understands that successful remodeling sales requires more than simply presenting a price.You should be comfortable discussing design, construction, budgets, and significant financial investments while creating an experience that makes homeowners feel understood and confident in their decision.

Ideal candidates will have:

• 3+ years of experience in residential remodeling, home improvement, interior design, construction, or a related industry

• Previous experience in consultative or high-ticket sales

• Strong understanding of residential kitchen and/or bathroom remodeling

• Ability to understand floor plans, measurements, layouts, and basic construction concepts

• Strong design sense and ability to communicate design ideas effectively

• Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills

• Confidence working directly with homeowners and guiding complex purchasing decisions

• Strong listening skills and the ability to uncover what a client truly wants from their project

• Ability to discuss project budgets and pricing comfortably and professionally

• Strong organizational and follow-up skills

• Ability to manage multiple opportunities at different stages of the sales process

• Collaborative mindset and ability to work closely with designers, project managers, estimators, and production teams

• Professional appearance and communication

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Experience in any of the following is especially valuable:

• Design-build remodeling

• Kitchen and bath design

• Custom home building

Interior design

• Cabinetry or countertop sales/design

• Residential construction

• Luxury or high-end home improvement sales

• Architecture or space planning

• High-ticket consultative sales

• Experience with CRM or construction management software is also a plus
