Responsibilities: Assist in the planning, organization, and implementation of recreational activities and events for residents, including social programs, exercise classes, and entertainment events Develop and maintain positive relationships with residents, families, and staff to ensure a warm and welcoming environment Coordinate and participate in activities, games, and social events to stimulate cognitive and physical abilities Collaborate with the therapy team to develop and implement individualized activity plans for residents Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of activities and make recommendations for improvements Maintain accurate records of resident participation and activity schedules Assist with the maintenance of a clean and organized activity department Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to lift, bend, and move objects up to 25 pounds Compassionate and patient attitude with a focus on providing excellent customer service Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed About Us: At Merriam Gardens Healthcare & Rehab Center, we are dedicated to having the best care team.
