Job Description
TITLE
Clinical Nurse - Medical Surgical

SCHEDULE
Shift: 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM, currently 3 shifts per week

ASSIGNMENT DETAILS
Contract Weeks: 13
Guaranteed Hours: 36

REQUIREMENTS
- Must have at least 2 years of experience working as a nurse in an acute or sub-acute facility.
- A valid, current, full and unrestricted Nursing License to practice nursing in any state of the United States or a territory.
- Must have and maintain current valid certifications of:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association
- Complete Trauma Care After Resuscitation (TCAR) within six months of hire
- National Institutes of Health (NIH) NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) must be completed within six months of hire

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide nursing care to patients of all ages based on their specific needs.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Monitor patient conditions and communicate effectively with physicians and other healthcare providers.
- Educate patients and their families about health management, treatment plans, and preventive care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities.

COMPLIANCE / NOTES
- Orientation every 2 weeks.
- COVID & flu exemptions may be accepted after a declination form is submitted.
- Housing application must be submitted 2 weeks prior to start.
