Senior Medical Malpractice Attorney

A highly respected regional law firm is seeking an experienced Medical Malpractice Attorney to join its growing litigation team in Mt. Laurel, NJ. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience defending medical malpractice claims and thrive in a fast paced, collaborative litigation environment.

Responsibilities:

• Handle all aspects of medical malpractice defense litigation from inception through resolution

• Defend healthcare providers, medical groups, and healthcare facilities in complex matters across various medical specialties

• Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda on litigation and liability issues

• Draft pleadings, motions, correspondence, discovery requests, and discovery responses

• Take and defend depositions and represent clients in court appearances, hearings, mediations, and other proceedings

• Analyze complex medical and legal issues and provide strategic recommendations to clients

• Collaborate closely with clients, experts, and litigation teams to develop defense strategies

• Maintain accurate billing and time entry records

• Participate in business development, networking, and client relationship initiatives

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of medical malpractice defense experience required

• NJ Bar admission required; additional bar admissions are a plus

• Strong litigation background with deposition and courtroom experience

• Trial experience preferred but not required

• Excellent writing, analytical, and communication skills

• Ability to manage cases independently and prioritize in a deadline driven environment

• Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills when working with clients, courts, and opposing counsel
