Advanced Practice Psychiatric Nurse

Psychiatric Nurse/RN - Guidance Clinic Location: IBHS Mercer - Guidance Clinic (Trenton, NJ) Employment Type: Part‑Time (up to 19 hours weekly) Number of Openings: 1 Category: Medical / Nursing Schedule: Up to 19 hours weekly – Monday‑Friday 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Saturday‑Sunday 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Proposed Salary: $90 per hour This position is currently accepting applications. Responsibilities Conduct initial psychiatric assessments of new clients. Manage a caseload for ongoing medication needs, including metabolic assessment, appropriate labs/studies, and contact with other physicians. Chart documentation as per Agency standards. Prescribe medications within standards of psychiatric care. Participate in joint clinical case review meetings with program and case management staff to coordinate care for clients. Participate in quality improvement process, including chart review for compliance with medical record‑keeping standards. Collaborate with Medical Director in accordance with Collaboration Agreement. Provide staff training, consultation and support in medication education and record‑keeping. Provide psychiatric emergency intervention and management for program clients. Maintain regular CEUs. Conduct groups as needed. Requirements Master's Degree in Nursing. Valid New Jersey APN license (Advanced Practice / Nurse Practitioner License). CNS (Clinical Nurse Specialist) in adult psychiatry / mental health with substance abuse experience. Computer proficiency. Wellness and Recovery orientation.
