NSMS Deputy Program Operations Manager

Position Overview NSMS Deputy Program Operations Manager – Onsite, Tucson, Arizona. The role serves as an interface between the Program Office Integrated Program Leadership Team and the Factory Leadership Team at Strategic Make Centers (SMCs) and manufacturing sites, supporting a high‑value weapon system throughout the program lifecycle. Location Tucson, Arizona – full‑time on the plant site. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with Program Operations and Program Management Leadership to prepare executive‑level reports and dashboards. Act as liaison to the SMCs, ensuring program needs are integrated and supported to meet commitments. Lead and influence cross‑functional teams, driving quality and performance for program deliverables and factory integration. Support operational security (OPSEC) planning and execution, influencing future security strategies. Assist in proposal development and approval, ensuring costs or challenges are understood by operations leadership and factories. Prepare and present information for Monthly Management Reviews and Executive Leadership, summarizing program status and ongoing production issues. Required Qualifications U.S. citizenship and an active, transferable DoD Secret clearance (or ability to obtain). Minimum: University degree or equivalent plus 5 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree plus 3 years. Experience in a manufacturing environment with complex systems integration across multiple factories and exposure to federal regulatory requirements. Proficiency with ERP tools and Office 365. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Make/Buy/Where process. Earned Value Management System (EVMS) certification. Experience with proposals, estimating, Basis of Estimates (BOEs), and Gate Reviews. Compensation Salary range: $86,800 – $165,200 USD, depending on experience and qualifications.
