Heavy Equipment Mechanic

A well-established construction company near Davenport, Iowa is expanding and looking for experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanics to join their growing team. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity with a reputable employer that values quality workmanship, teamwork, and technical skill.Whether you’ve worked on compact loaders or large excavators, if you’re confident with hydraulics, electrical systems, and diagnosing complex mechanical issues, we want to hear from you. Automotive or diesel technicians with strong electrical skills and a desire to advance are also encouraged to apply.Responsibilities:Diagnose, repair, and maintain construction and earthmoving equipment.Perform troubleshooting on hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systemsRead and interpret schematics and technical manualsRebuild, remove, and install components using proper tools and techniquesEnsure all repairs meet safety and reliability standardsQualifications:4+ years of hands-on experience working with heavy equipment or similar machineryStrong hydraulic and electrical diagnostic skillsAbility to read and interpret wiring and hydraulic schematicsMechanical aptitude and problem-solving mindsetProficiency using hand and power toolsCompensation & Benefits:$28.00 – $41.00/hour to start (based on experience and certifications)Overtime paid after 40 hours per weekComprehensive benefits package including Health, Vision, Dental, Life Insurance, and 401K3 weeks of paid time off to startAnnual boot and tool allowance ($1,000)Uniforms providedShift:Day Shift, 7:00AM - 5:00PM, flexible start times, no weekends!Mechanics with hydraulic and electrical repair experience are in high demand.
