Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 8-14 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Pending license accepted Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC Must-Have: Previous charge experience preferred Description: The Emergency Department provides care for various acuities, conditions, and age ranges. Nursing ratios vary based on care area and acuity of patients, typically 1:4. May be required to work some mids (15:00 - 03:00); will never cycle off nights into a mid-shift. Weekends are required, with 3 shifts in a 4-week period. The facility is a Level 2 STEMI and Stroke facility. Board certified emergency department attending is in-house 24/7. The department cares for neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Daily visits and census can vary based on patient inflow. Staffing includes interdisciplinary support from various services. Specialty lifting equipment is available for patient care. Nurses are expected to maintain high standards of care in a fast-paced environment. The facility is 100% nicotine-free. Scrubs are mandatory, and specific colors are required. The facility ensures comprehensive training and support for new personnel. Nurses should be prepared for diverse patient scenarios including trauma and critical care situations. RTO must be submitted with application, and limitations apply during the first week of orientation.
