Job Summary

Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery Department Hawaii. This position provides nursing care in a labor and delivery setting and may support the Mother/Baby unit as needed. The role requires an active Hawaii Registered Nurse license, current clinical certifications, and at least two years of full-time staff Registered Nurse experience in Labor and Delivery.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited nursing program; active, unencumbered Hawaii Registered Nurse license; at least two years of full-time staff Registered Nurse experience in Labor and Delivery; Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Professionals (HCP); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); Certified Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM) through the National Certification Corporation (NCC); and Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP). All licenses and certifications must remain valid throughout the initial contract.
• Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS); Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification or equivalent; experience in comparable medical centers with 500 or more beds and Level I trauma center experience; and specialty certifications such as RNC-OB, RNC-NIC, or RNC-MNN.
• Schedule: Day shifts consisting of 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurses may float to the Mother/Baby unit as needed. If Registered Nurse coverage is not needed in the assigned or a comparable unit, the role may include nursing assistant or safety sitter responsibilities. A current Nursys report is required at submission. Compliance must be completed at least 10 days before the contract start date, and all licenses and certifications must be valid at the time of application and throughout the initial contract.
