Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years in Intermediate and Med-Surg License: Any active state RN or compact license accepted Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: - Minimum of 2 years of experience in Intermediate and Med-Surg - Ability to read and interpret telemetry independently - EPIC charting experience required Description: Traveler's permanent address must be more than 50 miles away to be eligible to apply. This position involves working in an 86-bed facility. The expected patient ratio is typically 1 nurse to 5 patients but may flex to 1:6 if necessary. Shifts will cover every other weekend and every other holiday. Required skills include isolation precautions, starting and maintaining IVs, and telemetry on-unit monitoring. The facility provides interdisciplinary support, including services like physical therapy and pharmacy. Preferred experiences include charge nurse experience, community hospital experience, and travel experience. Candidates may be required to complete lab work and an EKG/Dysrhythmia exam as part of pre-employment requirements. Attendance is critical, with strict policies regarding call-offs and no-shows.
