Responsibilities:
Responsible for: Performs diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine and/or nuclear cardiology procedures according to all protocols, policies and procedures and adhering to A.L.A.R.A. programs. Performs all quality control procedures in accordance with manufacturer, state and federal guidelines.
Qualifications:
Minimum education required: Graduate of a nuclear medicine program accredited by either the Joint Review Committee on Education Programs in Nuclear Medicine Technology (JRCNMT) or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).
Minimum experience required: None
Minimum licensure/certification required by law: Either CNMT or NMTCB registered.
Additional qualifications: BLS certified. Possesses a thorough knowledge of radiation safety guidelines and radiopharmaceuticals as needed to perform and process nuclear medicine examinations.
