The position requires interaction with patients to educate them about procedures, maintaining their comfort and understanding throughout the imaging process.Key Responsibilities\n \n Review patient histories and physician's orders, educating patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation.\n Position patients appropriately and perform imaging procedures while considering age-related needs and capabilities to ensure high-quality images are obtained.\n Analyze results and identify any issues with image quality, taking appropriate action to resolve these issues as necessary.\n Monitor patient conditions continuously and respond to changes in status appropriately.\n Perform nuclear medicine imaging and therapy in accordance with applicable standards of practice and organizational policies.\n Order, prepare, administer, and dispose of radiopharmaceuticals according to established protocols and regulations.\n Maintain appropriate inventory of supplies in the Clinical Nuclear Medicine rooms.\n Job Requirements\n \n CT certification with PET/CT experience.\n Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in CT.\n Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) certification or registration as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) with Nuclear Medicine (NM) certification from ARRT.\n New York State (NYS) License.\n BLS certification from the American Heart Association.\n Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.\n Equipment Knowledge\n Preferred knowledge of GE PET or Philips PET scanners, though not mandatory.\n \n Thrive Staffing Job ID #19166695.
