Dietitian

Dietitian – 377th Medical Group, Kirtland Air Force Base, Albuquerque, NM 87108 Service: Dietitian. Contract duration: 6 months through 11/30/27 (year-long). This assignment requires a commitment of at least one year; shorter contracts will not be considered. Application Requirements Resume or CV (no gaps) Copy of diploma or transcripts Education Prime Source Verification (PSV) from National Student Clearing House Copy of nursing license and PSV BLS certification NPDB data sheet signed by candidate Paid Holidays and Hours Contract HCWs will not be required to work on federally recognized holidays. Hours of Performance: HCW shifts will normally be scheduled for an eight (8) hour period between 0630 and 1730, Monday through Friday. No HCW will provide services in excess of eight (8) hours per day or forty (40) hours per week. Legal Authorization HCWs performing under this contract must be a U.S. Citizen. Minimum Qualifications Degree: Bachelor’s degree Education: Graduate from a college or university accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) or completion of a Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD) accredited by the ACEND, or completion of a post-Baccalaureate Dietetic Internship Program of supervised practice (minimum 1200 hours) accredited by ACEND Registration: Current registration as a Registered Dietitian (R.D.) from the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Experience: Minimum three years of experience in wellness, sports nutrition, or nutrition education, and a role model in weight, fitness, and healthy lifestyle behaviors Board Certification: Board eligible Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics and must be granted provider privileges by the Credentials Office and maintain privileges Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted dietetics license or certification as required in the TO Core Duties Plan and organize work of considerable difficulty and responsibility under minimal supervision Participate in research and performance improvement studies Conduct nutrition assessment/evaluation including nutrient intake, activity level, appetite, vitamins, minerals, supplements, complementary alternative medicine usage, weight history, taste changes, feeding problems, food intolerance, food-drug interactions, unhealthy diet behaviors, socioeconomic and ethnic background, documented medical history, current diagnoses and medical treatment modalities, current drug therapy, and clinical signs and symptoms of nutritional deficiencies Apply basic principles of enteral and parenteral nutrition support Apply principles and practices of clinical dietetics and medical nutrition #J-18808-Ljbffr
