Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant

Cherrelyn Healthcare Center, in partnership with Stellar Living, is seeking a compassionate and patient-focused Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to support residents in achieving their highest level of independence and quality of life. In this role, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to implement individualized treatment plans for residents in our healthcare and medical services department. You will provide direct hands-on care, including therapeutic exercises, activities of daily living training, functional mobility, and cognitive and perceptual retraining, while accurately documenting progress in accordance with regulatory and facility standards. Collaborating closely with nursing, therapy, and caregiving teams, you will help adapt the environment and recommend assistive equipment to promote safety and functional success for each resident. Drawing on Stellar Living’s culture of collaboration, innovation, and professional growth, you will participate in interdisciplinary care conferences, contribute ideas to improve therapy programs, and help educate residents and families on home programs, safety strategies, and ongoing rehabilitation goals.
