JOB DESCRIPTION

Location Of Services: Puyallup, Washington Hours Per Week: Roughly 6.0 Hours Per Day | 30.00 Hour Per Week (M-F) Dates of Contract: 2026/2027 School Year Additional: 1:1 Nursing assignment - In Person - self contained classroom with warm and supportive team. High School Male Student. Medical needs include: G-tube [fed 3x daily] Seizures 1 kidney CHF [Congested Heart Failure] Temperature Regulation Changing included Orange Tree Staffing is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to “Build and Inspire Growth” by providing education‑based health services to students in Puyallup. As the LPN, you will play a vital role in supporting students’ health and well‑being by administering care, monitoring medical needs, and assisting with chronic condition management. The successful candidate will collaborate with educators, parents, and healthcare professionals to ensure students receive the medical support necessary to fully participate in their educational programs.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Monitor and assess students’ health status, providing routine care and responding to medical needs as they arise. Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and school policies. Support students with chronic conditions (e.g., diabetes, asthma, seizures) to ensure their safety and well‑being during the school day. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to integrate health plans into students’ educational programs. Participate in IEP and 504 meetings as needed, providing input on students’ health‑related needs. Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date health records, medication logs, and care documentation. Educate students and staff on health, wellness, and safety practices as appropriate. Stay current with best practices in school nursing and participate in professional development opportunities.
