School Health Dental Hygienist - Roving Program ****SIGN ON BONUS AVAILABLE****

Overview Sign on bonus available!!! $5000 for 18 month stay commitment. Dental Hygienist with the roving school-based dental team. Travels to different school buildings in the Columbus City and Reynoldsburg school districts. Every other Friday off. School hours (roughly 7:30-4 or 8-4:30), does work over summer and school breaks. Job Description Summary Provides oral health care, dental health education, and remediable intraoral procedures to patients in the hospital clinic. Essential Functions Examines patients' teeth and gums to identify any oral health issues. Cleans teeth by removing plaque, tartar, and stains. Educates patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provides advice on diet and lifestyle choices that can impact oral health. Administers local anesthesia and applies cavity‑preventive agents such as fluoride and sealants. Takes and develops dental X-rays to help diagnose dental problems. Keeps detailed patient records and maintains a clean and sterile work environment. Education Requirement Graduate of an accredited dental hygiene school, required. Bachelor's Degree, preferred. Licensure Requirement Licensed to practice in the State of Ohio, required. Passed the National Boards, required. Passed the Northeast Regional Boards, required. Certifications Certified in CPR, required. Skills Robust communication skills, required. Demonstrates ability to treat and teach healthy and medically compromised patients. Possesses strong manual dexterity. Experience Six months of relevant experience, preferred.
