Ready to make an impact in a local school environment? A rewarding contract role is available for an Illinois-licensed Physical Therapist near Markham, where you’ll help students maximize their physical capabilities and succeed academically.
This position is ideal for professionals looking for flexibility and a balanced schedule, averaging 2 to 2.5 days per week. Your expertise will directly support students with diverse needs, providing targeted interventions and proactive therapy plans alongside a dedicated educational team.
Key Qualifications:
- Current Physical Therapist license in Illinois
- Experience working with pediatric or school-age populations preferred
- Ability to develop individual treatment plans and collaborate with multidisciplinary staff
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Commitment to supporting students’ functional mobility and participation in school activities
- Availability to begin promptly following interview and onboarding process
Essential Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and create tailored therapy goals for students as part of IEP teams
- Deliver physical therapy services on-site in accordance with student plans
- Document progress, maintain thorough case records, and communicate outcomes to families and staff
- Offer guidance and training to teachers and aides on adapted equipment and classroom modifications
- Participate in school meetings and contribute expertise for student success
