Nurse Assistant

Position Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team on our Intermediate (Stepdown/Stroke unit). The Nursing Assistant provides direct patient care and support under the supervision of licensed nursing staff, helping ensure the comfort, safety, and well-being of patients.

Key Responsibilities

Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
Take and record vital signs accurately.
Assist with patient mobility, transfers, and repositioning.
Observe and report changes in patient condition to the nursing team.
Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable patient environment.
Respond promptly to patient requests and call lights.
Document care provided according to facility policies.
Support patient dignity, privacy, and confidentiality at all times.

Qualifications

Required

High school diploma or GED
No prior healthcare experience is required-we will fully train you.
Current CPR certification or ability to obtain upon hire.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Schedule Requirements

Available to work designated shifts, including every other weekend and holidays
12-hour shifts, rotating schedule.
The schedule will be changed for major holidays to be fair throughout the department.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift.
Ability to assist with patient transfers and mobility needs.
