Nurse Assistant

Position Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team on our Intermediate (Stepdown/Stroke unit). The Nursing Assistant provides direct patient care and support under the supervision of licensed nursing staff, helping ensure the comfort, safety, and well-being of patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
• Take and record vital signs accurately.
• Assist with patient mobility, transfers, and repositioning.
• Observe and report changes in patient condition to the nursing team.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable patient environment.
• Respond promptly to patient requests and call lights.
• Document care provided according to facility policies.
• Support patient dignity, privacy, and confidentiality at all times.

Qualifications

Required

• High school diploma or GED
• No prior healthcare experience is required-we will fully train you.
• Current CPR certification or ability to obtain upon hire.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Schedule Requirements

• Available to work designated shifts, including every other weekend and holidays
• 12-hour shifts, rotating schedule.
• The schedule will be changed for major holidays to be fair throughout the department.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift.
• Ability to assist with patient transfers and mobility needs.
