Assembler - Rotating Machinists DepartmentThe Assembler in the Rotating Machinists Department is responsible for assembling, inspecting, testing, and repairing precision rotating components and subassemblies used in aerospace and industrial applications. This role requires adherence to detailed engineering specifications, manufacturing procedures, and quality standards to ensure safe, reliable, and high-performance products. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and committed to excellence in a precision manufacturing environment.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssemble rotating mechanical components, subassemblies, and finished products according to engineering drawings, work instructions, and specifications.Perform precision fitting, alignment, balancing, and adjustment of rotating assemblies.Inspect parts and assemblies using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision tools.Conduct functional testing and troubleshooting of assemblies to verify performance and conformance to specifications.Interpret blueprints, assembly drawings, bills of materials, and manufacturing documentation.Identify and report defects, nonconformances, and process improvement opportunities.Maintain accurate production, quality, and testing records.Collaborate with machinists, quality inspectors, engineers, and production personnel to resolve assembly issues.Follow all safety procedures, quality requirements, and regulatory standards.Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area in accordance with 5S principles and manufacturing best practices.Meet established production schedules while maintaining high standards of workmanship and quality.QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required.Technical school training or vocational certification in manufacturing, machining, mechanical assembly, or a related field preferred.Previous experience in mechanical assembly, machining, aerospace manufacturing, or precision manufacturing preferred.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.Familiarity with precision measurement tools and assembly equipment.Basic computer skills and ability to complete electronic production documentation.
