ABOUT OUR AGENCY:
I opened my agency in 2016 and currently lead a team of 16. Before becoming a State Farm agent, I built my career in distribution, supply chain, and logistics. I’m a graduate of the University of Memphis, married, and a proud father of four. Family is a huge part of my life, and outside of work, I enjoy traveling and have always had a love for basketball.

Giving back is deeply important to me and our agency. I founded the Armelle Jones Memorial Scholarship Fund at the University of Memphis to help students pursue higher education and launched Operation Give Back in 2015, which has provided food and clothing to hundreds of people in our local homeless community. Our agency also hosts an annual “Lunch With Scholars” to recognize and celebrate graduating honor students from an inner-city Memphis high school.

ROLE DESCRIPTION:
Elvin Taylor - State Farm Agent is a leading insurance agency dedicated to providing exceptional service to our customers. We are currently seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a Receptionist - State Farm Agent Team Member.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Greet customers warmly in person and over the phone, directing them to the appropriate team members.
• Manage appointment scheduling and office communications.
• Assist in handling incoming inquiries and maintaining customer records.
• Engage in conversations with prospective and existing customers, identifying opportunities to offer insurance options.
• Provide excellent customer service and follow up on customers needs.
• Support the team with various administrative tasks and projects.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous experience in a receptionist or customer service role.
• Communication and interpersonal skills.
• Organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Comfortable with engaging in sales conversations.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
